The frigid air has come again
upon each face it stings
and through the barren wooded slopes
to make the birches sing -

And from the western skies above
come blankets grey and white
and give the treasure that is loved
to bring a mystic sight -

Though dark and troubled is the mind
in this, a treasure that we find
to realize certain rarity
and comfort in disparity
