Silence

Silence

A commodity worth much -
A prize for a man in a world of noise
Hushed by this night by the hand of winter

Peace comes in the form of snow
Driving all life to their dwelling place

The winter night presses on
as layer upon layer of
snow blankets the earth
And in my own confused state I walk slowly -

Somehow I find God those nights alone
I pray to Him -
He may hear; I know he's always there

Somehow, Silence
has become the word of God...
